Happy Monday!
If you are joining us from Suzanne Eller’s blog we are so excited that you have popped over. We love for others to pop by and stay awhile. We are so excited to have guests that we decided a give away was in order!
Keep reading for details on how to enter.
All month we have been studying “Aware and Grateful”. The idea was sparked by time in Suzie’s new book, Come With Me Devotional. So it’s a natural fit to offer this beautiful give away today.
To enter simply leave a comment here or at Suzie’s blog answering one question: How can we share Jesus with others during this Thanksgiving season?
Let’s encourage one another with our ideas!
Wednesday we will select one random winner to receive the following book package containing:
~Everyday Thanksgiving journaling kit and scripture journal
I will share Jesus by encouraging others. We will be working that day–operating room nurses are quite busy on holidays, Thanksgiving is one of them. Holidays don’t seem to bring out the best in people, and hurting people hurt people, badly sometimes. Patients, families, and colleagues need lots of loving encouragement during these holidays, and I want to be living proof of our God’s love to these precious souls.
Oh Doris! Thank you for sharing. I miss the hospital. You are so right. Hurting people seem to hurt people. I had a vision when I read those words. It was one of victory that comes from Jesus. Praying for you and your colleagues as you share love and kindness to others during Thanksgiving.
My husband and I invite people in the flock that do not have a place to be to join us for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We do this because Jesus loves us and we want others to know He loves them too!
Last year we had 4 extra at our table. It was wonderful!
I love it! Gathering around the table offers a special place to share God’s love. Thank you for sharing.
I’m sharing Jesus with our husband’s side of the family with a meal at our home and ideas of being thankful. I’ve ordered some special place mats to use that they will be writing on – even have some for the kids to color, and I’ll also be blogging and sharing with many in our World that don’t know Jesus.
Praying this morning about what He wants me to share this Thanksgiving on-line and through the ministries at my church for those in need. I’m also planning to have a widowed neighbor over for a meal next week along with his adult daughter who is also a neighbor. Neither of them are saved or go to church, but we love visiting with them and planting seeds.
Oh Deborah! I love that you are including others in your thanksgiving plans. I’ll be praying with you for your time with others! Blessings friend.
We are making a pan of dressing to share with the Baptist Student Union at our local university so they can feed about 150 International students who won’t be able to go home for the holidays. This will also be an opportunity to share Jesus with them.
Mechelle! So wonderful! Feeding others always seems to open up opportunities to share Jesus. Blessings to you and yours!
I think one way we can share the good news of Jesus is by serving the less fortunate in our community. Be an active example of faith.
An “active example of faith”! My pastor would love your heart Sharyn. You have just encouraged me today to remember to be active in my faith. Thank you!
In a world full of noisey voices filled with demands, accusations, lies, hate, unforgiveness, and the like, I feel the greatest gift I can share this Thanksgiving is the peace of Christ. Simply through loving acts of kindness like a smile to a stranger, a moment of my time for a lonely friend, eye contact when someone to speaking to me, a listening ear or a word of encouragement. All with the calm and gentleness of Christ. Hushing the voices of darkness and quietly shouting the voice of Light, hope & love, Jesus!
Bunny, what a beautiful perspective. Do you often just smile in crowded stores where stress levels are high? Sharing the peace of Christ is exactly what we can do to break through the darkness. Thank you for sharing.
Sharing the love of Jesus with a grateful heart is important every day, not just during the holiday season. I will continue to encourage those whom God puts in my path through loving action and words.
yes! That is what our study Every Day Thanksgiving is all about…living a lfe full of gratitude every day 🙂
There are so many ways we can share Jesus during this holiday. Invite someone who is alone to join you and your family, take a meal to a shut in and spend some time with them, serve in a soup kitchen. But my favorite is just to be gracious to those around you. With the stores more crowded and everyone hurrying somewhere (including us) let’s just take time to be kind and gracious to others. Be kind when you drive letting others in line; let someone else have that last can of pumpkin or package of rolls (you can find them at another store or substitute something else); smile at the checker even when she isn’t bagging your groceries just the way you’d like (remember she’s had a hard day too). Sometimes the best way to share Jesus is just to “be” Jesus. Share His heart.Thank others for the little things they do. Love like Jesus and be thankful for every opportunity He gives us to show forth His love.
Oh Delores! I love you heart! You are so right. The best way to share Jesus is just to “be” Jesus.
I hope I win this to give it to my daughter who is try to learn how to be grateful, focus on the positives first, and keep Jesus foremost so the enemy can’t use worldly life to distract us.
This Thanksgiving I have decided to share the story of Jesus feeding the masses with the fish and loaves. I think it’s a good way to show how all we have came from him, and that he gives us just what we need, even though we may not realize it at the time. I’m going to try to use it as a lead in to the traditional lets practice gratitude and state one thing we are grateful this year. I’m hoping it will encourage discussion on gratitude instead of just the normal listing of items, people, or life events. Praying it will be successful so that this Thanksgiving can have new deeper flavor.
Karen, I love the idea of sharing the story of Jesus feeding the multitudes at Thanksgiving! We have so much to be grateful for every day.
We can share Jesus by simply being actively looking and being aware of the needs that are presented in our paths each day and then responding to them immediately as they appear. A simple act of kindness is enough to prick a heart!!!
yes and amen! Agreed Cindy 🙂
Providing a meal for a neighbor who is alone. Putting a Bible verse that encourages them to know Jesus is near with the, meal!
I love this. Many need this encouragement. Thank you for sharing Angel.
By giving to others in need expecting nothing in return you know being the hands of Jesus and loving not condemning our family and others. Being Jesus arms of ❤️ love.
Thank you for sharing Mary 🙂
Well to start I will share Jesus by using one of my gifting of exhortation. I will do this in the grocery store as we start getting the grocery and stuff for this holiday season I will show them by appreciate by talking to them and asking them how there doing and showing them how much they are appreciated especially now when stores are extra busy.( This is something I don’t normally do converse in conversation with them). I am also serving food at our church event for feeding the homeless then if there any leftover we take it to the shelter and streets. Thanks for giving us a opportunity to win.
Serving with love everywhere you go! I love that Noelle.
For us, its a time to be thankful but also with our kids, teaching them constantly to be thankful for all they have/all that God has done. But that God wants us to show others His love in other ways like being kind..
These books look amazing..would love to have them…
Oh Chrissy! From generation to generation. I love that you include teaching your children.
By giving and serving not seeking to be served!
yes!
For those who are hungry, feeding the body first is a must! Showing others how much you care is the first step to showing , as well as being the hands and feet of Jesus here on earth.
Dianne, the is so true. I agree that we need to meet the physical needs of those around us.

We are focusing on teaching our young children the gospel and how to be truly thankful and grateful for God’s provisions.
This teaching time is so valuable. Thank you for sharing with your young children Heather.
I’m trying to share Jesus, every day, with coworkers. When our discussions go to worldly topics I squeeze Jesus into the conversation.
Our world needs Jesus…in our homes and our workplaces. Thank you for sharing his love.
I will encourage others about Jesus by my actions and words. Living out Christ in my life to give others a glimpse of how He transforms us. By being kind, giving, encouraging, loving, forgiving, and by not judging others. I will share His transforming peace by being present in Him. We are forever changed by Him and His eternal love and grace. I’m so grateful. Praise the Lord!
I love hearing your praise Susan!
I have been on both ends. The one to receive and the one to give encouragement, hope and kindness. That is part of my gifting and has become stronger the more pain I had walked through. Lately though I have found myself as low as can go and have so little to give, and just needing to be in a season of being filled. It’s hard and I hate being looked at as “nerdy” and yet I have been so much! Pray for me please that I would look to God alone to fill me in this season of great loss and pain, and that He would give me great victory even now, as I walk in obedience and (trying again) to surrender (again)!! Thank you sisters!!
Over thanksgiving I am asking God to help me practice hospitality.
Kimberly, I’m lifting you in prayer this morning. God sees your willing heart! Blessings.
I think we serve Jesus and share His love by showing gratitude and joy in all aspects of our lives. It makes people wonder what we have and why we have such joy. Perfect opening.
So true! Others need to see something in us that they want for themselves! JOY is the perfect thing to display as a child of God.
Hi Jodie! I remember seeing you at She Speaks this year. Good to see you on Suzie’s blog this week! This Thanksgiving, I will try to listen more than talking. Hopefully Jesus will show me something new in others’ hearts by listening more carefully. Thanks for this giveaway opportunity!
Invite someone who otherwise would be alone for holiday to join dinner with family.
By giving to others and sharing our meal with people who are alone at Thanksgiving.
I have to work on Thanksgiving. I will show my coworkers how thankful I am for them as well as my job.
