Day 11: Praying Brave with a Yes Heart
What is a yes heart?
~a heart seeking God
~a heart desiring God
~a heart listening for God
~a heart surrendered to God
Kari Jobe’s song is resounding in my mind:
“The more I seek you,
The more I find you
The more I find you, the more I love you
I wanna sit at your feet
Drink from the cup in your hand.
Lay back against you and breathe, feel your heart beat
This love is so deep, it’s more than I can stand.
I melt in your peace, it’s overwhelming”
Jeremiah 29:13 says, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
How difficult is it to seek God with all our heart?
How often are we able to clear away the noise, the stress, the distractions and lay back against Him?
Our friend Suzanne Eller is taking about seeking God today on her blog. She shares three questions we can ask ourselves as we seek God:
~ Where are you God in the midst of this?
~ What do you see that I don’t?
~ Which way do you want me to turn?
Seeking God is following God. Seeking God creates an environment that allows Him to reveal Himself and His ways to our hearts.
Then we can have a yes heart that…
~rests in God.
~releases everything to God.
~is revived by God.
Oh how I want a yes heart! Don’t you?
Join me in this simple prayer:
Help me seek you with all my heart.
I love you Lord and I want to seek you.
Praying with you~ Jodie
