Last night we gathered to study God’s Word! It was time for a Pop Up Patio bible study! And for those who live near, yes, it was raining…so we popped into the dining room!
A few months ago I was struggling. I had a heart’s desire to do bible study with women and a lack of defined time for this desire to become reality.
And then one day it happened!
I had an open slot of time!
I thought why not just POP UP a bible study!
Yes, there was fear that no one would come. But God prompted my heart and I took that leap of faith to follow.
I posted a simple picture. An open invitation. One prompt. And then I prayed for God to do the rest. And He did.
I’m not surprised, but yet I am. Why do I doubt His answers? He is so good.
We popped together on my patio. And my daughter and her friends popped up too!
We shared a bible study, we prayed together and someone asked, “will we do this regularly’?
I answered. My prayer is that anyone who feels led will pop up a bible study will follow.
And now that is what I do.
I pop them up and wait to see who will pop over and what will pop out of God’s Word and into our open hearts.
And now there is something else…I intentionally look for openings in my calendar that are just right for the next pop up! It’s a Best Yes choice for me!
My best yes also came with a predetermined set of guidelines for myself:
- Keep it simple
- Provide the time and space
- Let God lead and I will follow
My prayer for anyone reading is this:
Lord, May we each pause long enough to hear your call and see your hand opening up opportunities for us to Pop together and explore Your Word, share Your Love, and encourage each other. Let us be intentional in our time with You. Setting aside quality time to get into the Word so that the Word gets into us! Amen
Perhaps next time a bible study pops up, you can pop in…until then, keep popping over here and we can search for His treasure right here!

The Value of Wisdom “My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you, So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding” Proverbs 2:1-6

Iam so thankful for your desire to obey God and His call on your life! You have been such a blessing to me and so many and it is simply because you love Christ so much that you desire to share His love with others. It is because you go past desire and make it happen. You honor Him by acting out His love rather than just saying it… there is a huge lesson for us all in that… thank you for reminding me to live out Proverbs 3:28! It is a best yes!
I love that we are in this together and searching for ways to live out our trust in the Lord! Looking forward to many Best Yes answers together!
That is awesome! I am so glad you listened and obeyed!
Sarah, Me too! Thank for coming by! I stopped by your blog and read a post about your wanting more…well, less. Just whisper, Unrush me Lord, with us!

Opening our hearts, our homes, our families is one the greatest things we can do for others! Pop-up bible studies have become one of my favorite ways to share our home and family with others. Today Suzie and others are talking about family, pop over to her place and read great things about sharing our families (http://tsuzanneeller.com/2015/04/09/be-someones-family/) !
And if you are free tonight and close by, pop over to my house for a bible study! It’s popping up purposefully again!
