“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and DARKNESS was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”, and there was light….” Genesis 1:1-3
Formless. Darkness. Void.
Yet the Spirit of God was moving.
Are you in the darkness today? Does your life seem formless and void of.. well, life?
The Spirit of God is still moving.
“Let there be Light!”
and there was….His name is Jesus!
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He (Jesus) was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being. In Him was life, and the life was the LIGHT of men.The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it…” John 1:1-5
Formless. Darkness. Void.
Alone. Depressed. Afraid.
Yet God had a plan. God has a plan. The Spirit God is still moving.
“Let there be Light!”
and there was…and it can be found in YOU through Jesus.
Do you want to shine this year? Do you want to be a light? You can. See when you have Light coming from the inside then even when this world gets dark, you will still shine! God has a plan this year (and every year) that the whole world will hear His name, will know His grace, and experience the Light of Life!
Come and learn how to Shine with us as we keep it real…real women, real stories, real faith...SHINING for Jesus! All for His glory!
“Let there be Light!“

“The Spirit God is still moving.”
Hallelujah!!! Love this.
I absolutely love this, Donna! Amen! Let there be light. I was just reading Genesis 1 the other day and was struck by the same thing, how the Spirit of God was still moving even in the darkness. Praying his Spirit will move us to new heights this year.
Donna, this post speaks so much to my heart…and of course my theme is Living in the Light…so it’s doubly beautiful to me. This give me such hope, “Yet God had a plan. God has a plan. The Spirit God is still moving.” He had. He is. He will. I love all of this! Thank you for linking up this week. xoxo
