“There are no hopeless situations; there are only people who have grown hopeless about them.” Clare Booth Luce
I sure hope we can play today. I hope that I can win the lottery. I hope to be able to attend.
There is nothing left to hope for. She had lost all hope.
Hope. What exactly does it mean?
Webster’s defines the word HOPE as a feeling of expectation and desire for something to happen.
The Bible defines hope as a definite peace and joy that has happened because of what Jesus did for us on the cross. Not an expectation of what may happen.
“We have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe” (1 Tim 4:10) because “Jesus Christ [is] our hope” (1 Tim 1:1)
Hope does not imply happiness. Hope gives us solid ground to stand on whether we are having a good day or a bad day.
Hope for a Christian is not an emotion but an assurance that God is faithful and true in all that He has promised.
This week we will be studying hope here at Faithfully Following Ministries and we invite you to click on the facebook icon above and join us each day as we discuss different scriptures about hope.
Hope is reaching out your hand and holding onto to the hand of the One who will never let go!
We “hope” that you will join us!
