He loves me? He love me not?

Remember when you were a young girl and you plucked the petals from a flower saying those words? I sure do. Admittedly, if it didn’t look like the last petal would affirm “his” love I would fudge the results! I wanted to be loved. Here I sit 43 years old, no flower petals in sight and a heart that still wants to be loved.

Plucking those petals, daydreaming about “that” boy, it may all be in the past, but the desire deep within me to be loved abundantly lingers. I’m a little like Gwen Smith who admits in her new book, I Want It All, that I will still push my children out of their daddy’s lap to be the one closest to my hubby. I simply desire to be loved.

And I am!

You are too!

Jesus loves you deeper and wider than your mind can imagine.

Jesus loves even if! Even if you wake up with bad breathe, have too many pounds around the middle or leave the toothpaste top off every time. Greater than that, Jesus loves you so much that He sacrificed His life for yours. He died to cover all the “even ifs” that go way beyond bad breath.

My friend Cindy Krall says it this way:

We don’t have to pluck the petals from a flower to confirm His love. Jesus’ love was confirmed on that day when He said, “It is finished”.

Since I’m full of confessions today can I tell you that I know the love of Jesus personally and I still have those moments where I want someone to whisper I love you? With Valentine’s Day a few short days away I want the little package of candy or the pretty card that tells me I’m special. That desire to be noticed and loved is completely understood by me but better yet by God. You see, He designed us for love. He created us for love.

 God loves us and so desires that we push everything out of our lap to allow Him to be closest!

Everyday God’s love is medicine to this girls heart that so desires to know someone is wild about her!

God is wild about us girls!

My prayer today is likened to that of this one in Ephesians 3:17-19,

 I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,  and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Psalm 63 says, “your love is better than life”!

He loves me? He loves me not?

He love me! I’m His! He is wild about me!

God’s love is better than life!

Embrace God’s love for you this Valentine’s day and everyday.
