If you are human, you have more than likely had a broken heart. Whether it was a friend, a parent, a sibling, a spouse or someone you really didn’t know…or maybe you were the one who was doing the heartbreaking. We live in an imperfect world with imperfect people who despite their best efforts…mess up.

But what do you do to get over the broken heart? Well, there are lots of temporary options….anger, food, alcohol, seclusion, retaliation, justification, abandonment….I could go on but you get the point. They may feel good for a day, but eventually the pain creeps back in and you are back to where you started. But there is a more permanent solution….

See we sometimes get so busy telling Jesus how much we love Him, that we forget that…. HE LOVES US.

He sees the hurt.

He sees the pain.

He sees the tears.

He watches as we cry out for help to everyone but Him.

And He waits patiently for us to lean into His ability to save and heal. He will not force Himself into any area of our lives in which He has not been invited. He waits for us to ask for His help.

Jesus is the permanent solution.

Psalm 119:35 says this “MAKE me walk along the path of your commands for that is where my HAPPINESS is found.”

There is no “quick fix” when you have been hurt..but there is a fix that will allow you to move forward, into a mended heart which still bears the scars but that is able to love without “holding a record of wrong.” There is happiness that can be found in Jesus alone…the One who will NEVER break your heart.

We will begin studying “The Mended Heart” by Suzanne Eller on June 23 and we hope to offer those who want to really fix their brokenness, who really want to get to the more permanent solution of their broken heart…. Jesus.

We simply want to offer Jesus.

He is the permanent solution.

Will you join us?
