We gain so much when we are connected in deep relationship with God. Today, Bunny Yekzamon shares with us about a wrestling match that developed confidence in Christ that will keep you on the edge of your seat. We pray today is a blessing to your heart.

In His Presence I am Confident, Bunny Yekzamon

“There is no way! I’m not going to believe it no matter what. I know what God has promised me so get out of here.” I quietly slipped out of my bed and walked to the hall hoping he would follow. I didn’t want to wake my husband. I wanted this enemy nowhere near him or my children.

He did follow me.

Coming down from hovering over my bed we were suddenly face to face in the hall. His words taunting and evil, saying over and over again in a singing tone, “They are mine, they are mine.”

“NO!”, I shouted. “They are not yours, they are God’s. He promised me. You cannot and will not have them.”

We began to wrestle, his arms gripped around my body. We fell against the bathroom door and it flung open. I grabbed his head and bashed into the sink. “There! You are done here! Now get out!”

Suddenly I woke up. My clothes wet from sweat. My body felt as if I’d been in a fight. Then I realized I had. In my sleep, I had battled with Satan and won. God had revealed the answer to questions I had asked Him the day before, “Father, do I believe even in my sleep? Do I trust You? Is my faith strong when my mind is resting?”

When we truly believe what God says, the promises He gives, the faithfulness He shows over and over again, we can be absolutely confident in what He says He will do, He WILL do!

This confidence comes through being in His presence, reading His word, believing without doubt what He says.

“But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:6-8‬ ‭NASB‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

We must not be double minded, but confident in God’s word. For it pierces the enemy.

“Such confidence we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God,”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:4-5‬ ‭NASB‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

In His presence I am confident.

All my family will be saved.

I am confident!

Today’s Prayer:

Lord,

You are so good. Help us trust in your faithfulness. Not a single prayer goes unheard. Not a single promise in your word is unfulfilled. Help us to be confident in you. Today we lift our family members that need you. Help us trust you to draw them near. Open their hearts to your truth. May we be faithful to pray for them and to support them. We rejoice now in what is to come. Amen

Further Study:

Is there anything that you are wrestling over in your life currently?  If you answered yes take a moment to write anything down that is causing you lack of sleep or worry. Ask God to take control and help you be confident in His ability and promises.

Read Psalm 46:10 NLT

“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”

What two things does God ask of us? 1- Be ________ and 2 ________ that I am God.

How does knowing who God is help us with confidence and trust?
