Today we’re linking up with Suzie Eller to share about “my risk”! I’m stepping out in fear right now just to write this post! It’s worth the Risk! take risks

Broken from my own sin.

Exhausted from traveling a long road battling my sin-nature.

But restored by a Savior who offers freely grace and forgiveness!

The question came and I uttered the word, Yes.

That is right where I was about five years ago when a beautiful woman of faith shared a conversation with me that ended in a question. A question that brought fear to my heart and excitement to my soul. A ministry opportunity was presented and I knew it was an answer to my prayers.

You see I was coming home from battle and wounds were healing but the scars were fresh. I wanted to be of service to Jesus, but I wasn’t certain where, how or even if that was possible. Jesus continually whispered to my heart, you are mine, accept my grace, go and let others know about my love!

I was still afraid.

Afraid but praying. Praying for God to use me.

One afternoon Donna Fender shared her desire to start a ministry for women. A faith based fitness ministry. A ministry that became known as Faithfully Fit! Saying yes was frightening. It meant serving openly. It meant sharing honestly. It meant trusting that God would equip me with everything I needed, because I came into this with nothing. (Well, an open heart that is prayed up is something!)

the next step

God saw my willingness and supplied.

He saw my fear and gave me courage.

Never fear the Yes you make when it’s the next step Jesus asked you to take!

What are you afraid of today? Is God calling you to serve in an area that frightens you greatly? Are you hesitant to say yes to a step of faith He is asking you to take?

Trust the One who calls to provide!

Trust the One who loves to give you courage!

And when you accept the call with a bold YES, “…Stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:58

Each day I strive to faithfully step out for Jesus. He took my brokenness and made it beautiful. I said yes to the next step so others would know how His love restores!
